“Technically the tour is a part of the Cruce Andino route, so we had to experience all the associated logistical challenges. They asked us to come to the meeting point at 7:30, but nothing happened until 8:00. Then we were unexpectedly (not listed in the program) taken to Petrohue Falls. We were left there for 1:45 hours, while visiting the falls takes 30 min maximum. This all contributed to the extension of the tour to 12+ hours. Of course, the lake and the Peulla valley are beautiful, but the logistics was very exhausting.”

Between him and Steve the whole activity was a pleasure - really nice to chat with them at the end over pizza and a beer. Highly recommend this day trip.”
Travel from Puerto Varas to Osorno Volcano in a small group or private, air-conditioned van with a bilingual guide. You will reach the ski center at 1,240 meters, enjoy about an hour for views and photos, then choose a chairlift to 1,450 or 1,750 meters.
