★★★★★★★★★★4.4 · 266 reviews · 10h 30m · from $79Our pick

Travel from Santiago into the Andes for Cajón del Maipo scenery, seven Termas Colinas pools, El Yeso reservoir, and a light picnic. Guides such as Daniela, Gabriel, and Yohana are praised for their care, though the tour runs mainly in Spanish and Portuguese. Expect an early start and a long day.

“THE Highlight of this Tour was the "Valle de Colina" with the "Termas" that are powered by hot water of an active volcano...awesome experience in a breathtaking mountain setting...Highly recommend! Another impressive sight was the El Yeso lake that is providing water to Santiago. Some parts of the tour were classic tourist spots, like a very basic "breakfast place" in the morning (nothing suitable for us) and the Casa Chocolate. Transport was efficient and on-time...please take the pick-up times serious...2 Couples didn't show up on time and the TourBus continued without them. The Bus was very modern, equipped with USB charger outlets and in well maintained condition...although room was tigh...”

“It was an early start to our day 5 am but worth it. It was a wonderful experience. I would recommend it to anyone who loves the Andes mountains. Our guide, driver Gonzalo was very kind, attentive and knowledgeable about landscapes. I was happy that we were picked up and dropped off at our location. Also that the weather was nice in the mountains to be able to get into the hot Springs. I was in all of the landscapes I saw and enjoyed the stops along the way too, and from our destination.”

“1. While booking, it says english guide. But it turned out to be all spanish..the co travellers and the guide (speaks broken little english often taking help of intetnet translations). 2. The guide admits the tour is his first trip as well. Hence seems helpless. 3. The driver is more active virtually taking over control. He is excitedly speaking throughout, sometime even getting his both hands off the steering... 4. The tour wad supposedly to start at 6.30. I was sent a text at 10 pm earlier night that the pick up will be at 5 am. I missed thay and when they arrive in the morning and threatened to…”

“As the only native English speaking couple on the tour, we were taken care of by our guide very well. Gonzalo was quite knowledgeable and his enthusiasm was just what we needed after a long drive to our location. The hot springs were not overcrowded and the warm water was so relaxing. The picnic portion was a nice sample of Chilean wine tasting.”

Leave Pucón with guide Blas of Rutas Outdoors for a three-hour trek through native forest and araucarias toward Villarrica volcano’s southern slope. Then warm up in 20 Geometric Hot Springs pools linked by red walkways. This private, moderate outing lasts about eight hours.

“We had such a wonderful experience with Bos. The intense uphill was so worth it, as Bos was a supportive and smart navigator. We saw four volcanoes from the top! And the fact that the trek ended in these extraordinary hot springs was so unique -- most tour operators do not have access to this land. Highlight of our trip to Chile.”

“The tour to Embalse and the Hot Springs with Diego as a guide was sensational! We made the right decision to opt for a private tour, which included detailed explanations about Santiago and the region throughout the journey, which enhanced our experience. The picnic was also wonderful, everything was in very good taste. We strongly recommend hiring the services of “Indo pro Chile”.”

“Horrible experience. The driver ignored our messages and calls, left us waiting, and we had to walk 15 minutes through mud to catch the van. The van almost left without us, and they had to stop it on the road. The driver pretended not to have an internet connection, wrote fake addresses to avoid finding our location, and refused to drop us off at the same place. He didn’t speak a single word of English, and when we suggested calling a uber, he told us to just get out of the van and figure it out ourselves. We had to pay for an Uber. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.”

“The hot springs themselves are amazing. The driver was also very friendly. However we had to coordinate with 3 different WhatsApp chats and fill out forms that asked for unnecessary detail (including our weight) just to go on the tour. They initially added us to the wrong group (we booked AM and they added us to PM). They also advised at the pickup time that they couldn't find our hotel on the map even though we confirmed the name of the hotel about 3 times in the various forms etc. prior to the tour.”
